From your first day at ARU, we'll support you to build the skills and abilities employers value in graduates.

ARU’s curriculum puts your employability at the centre. Our courses are recognised by industry, with a large number being professionally accredited. Reflecting our strong links with regional businesses and organisations, many of our courses also contain placement opportunities.

You’ll also have access to our dedicated Employability service – this is staffed by a friendly team of experts who can offer personalised career advice, help with job applications, interview prep and much more besides.

ARU Temps, our onsite recruitment agency, specialise in temporary and part-time work and can help you find roles to gain crucial skills and experience alongside your studies.

Our institutional focus on entrepreneurial education is reflected in our graduate’s performance - we're ranked top 15% in the country for graduates in employment and/or further study 15 months after graduating (GOS, 2023).
The Graduate Outcomes Survey ranks ARU in the top 10 of mainstream universities in the country, for the proportion of UK undergraduates in employment 15 months after graduating.*
