The Ultimate Partygoers
If you and your friends are always the last ones standing, if you can’t quite grasp the concept of a ‘quiet night in’ and you can easily function on two hours sleep, Ibiza is for you.Not for the faint hearted, Ibiza is the perfect destination for those who are one step ahead on the party scene. If you’ve already experienced older friends halls at university and want to recreate the memories in the sun, look no further. This Mediterranean island is the hub for world famous DJs, clubs and beaches. Don’t just take our word for it; we’ve rounded up a few Ibiza lovers who can tell you exactly what you can expect from your holiday.
Francesca Fugl is a Fine Art student at Bournemouth University, she knows what makes a good party and knows it can be found on this Spanish island. “It’s a never ending party, it has a brilliant friendly, loving atmosphere. The clubs can be expensive but are honestly worth every penny.”
Ibiza’s reputation as the party island has attracted holidaymakers from all over the world looking for that perfect week away.
“Ibiza gives you lineups you can’t get anywhere else. The island showcases the best DJs and music from around the world and the atmosphere is unbeatable.”
– Jake Roman Capon, Sports Management student at Bournemouth University.
With clubs such as Sankeys, Amnesia and Space alongside beautiful sandy beaches, it’s no wonder 500,000 Brits flood to the sunny shores of Spain every year. For your chance to get in on the action, visit Thomas Cook where prices start at £287 for 7 days.
For those of you who love a good night out, and are more than happy dancing to old school classics in your local Chicago’s, we suggest 18-30 destinations such as Kos, Malia and Magaluf. Although still big party destinations, they are quieter than the big party islands such as Ibiza and Ayia Napa (and much, much cheaper!) These destinations are perfect for large groups of friends who are looking to let themselves go after exam stresses. Think The Inbetweeners movie without the awkward dancing. Pub-crawls, gorgeous beaches, huge clubs and boat parties await you on all these European destinations. The bars and clubs stay open as long as your willing to stay awake and they boast some of the best drink deals you will find anywhere. Club reps roam the street handing out drinks vouchers and offers for going into their club, so save yourself money and take full advantage of this. (5-euro fish bowls with a free shot anyone?)
18-30 holidays are the perfect choice for those who have worked hard and are now ready to play hard. Prices start from £149 for 7 nights. More information can be found here:

The Cheap and Convenient
We realise not everyone is able to find a part-time job during college years and money can be tight. Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean you and your friends have to miss out on a great trip. For those of you who love a good night out but are restricted on time and money, look no further than the shorelines of England for some fun in the sun. It might not be ideal, and we’re sure you would prefer jetting off to sunnier climates, but think outside the box and you can have the perfect week away without setting foot on a plane.
Brighton, Bournemouth and Newquay are all perfect beach destinations for those on a budget. All three destinations boast university campuses which mean great nightlife and cheap drinks.
Newquay boasts the UK’s answer to Spring Break. On the 9th-13th June it holds a festival for those looking for the perfect student holiday.
For £39 you get access to a four day festival, sets from headline DJ’s, a beautiful private beach and four nights of partying with over 3000 likeminded students. Expect music from Pendulum, Example, Tinie Tempah and sets from Scot Mills and Annie Mac.
More information can be found here.
If your exam timetable limits you to going away after July, don’t worry. Newquay is the perfect holiday destination for the entire summer; its beaches look as though they belong in the Mediterranean and the climate rival’s Spain during the summer months.
