FAQ: Do good grades matter?

Do good grades matter?

Yes. Your grades are what dictate what university you can go to and what courses you can study as well. The better grades you have, the better chance you have.

That doesn’t mean that good grades are the be-all and end-all to getting into a top university, but they certainly help. Some universities will block applications for students below a certain grade threshold, so it’s best to get the best grades you feel you can get.

Not getting good grades is okay, but address why you’re not getting good grades. If you’re passionate about Art and want to be Artist, you don’t need to get an A in Maths; likewise, if you’re going to be Footballing Coach, you don’t need an A in Geography.
