Course Overview - Engineering
The HN Engineering course has been designed to enable direct progression to a full honours degree course upon successful completion. You will have the opportunity to investigate 3D printing, mechatronics, Stirling engines, drone technology, robotics and advanced mathematics relevant to engineering. You can opt to pursue a specialist pathway in mechanical, electrical/electronic or manufacturing engineering for the diploma part of the qualification. You will have the opportunity to investigate 3D printing, mechatronics, Stirling engines, drone technology, robotics and advanced mathematics relevant to engineering. You can opt to pursue a specialist pathway in mechanical, electrical/electronic or manufacturing engineering for the diploma part of the qualification. The HN is split into two elements – the certificate and the diploma. The certificate can be studied over one year full-time or two years part-time. The diploma can also be studied for one year full-time and two years part-time<br/><br/>Successful completion of the HN Engineering can lead to a wide range of roles including: Electrical engineer, Electronic engineer, Mechanical engineer, Maintenance engineer. You could also choose to study an extra year to ‘top-up’ your qualification to a Bachelor Degree at University.
