It also provides a strong scientific basis and teaches critical analysis of policy and law from an evidence-based perspective. The role of research is continually emphasised and youll become an active participant in the creation of knowledge.<br/><br/>Career development is a strong focus of the degree and youll develop knowledge that will allow you to work in different areas of the addiction field. Youll also develop skills relating to the assessment, management and treatment of addiction.<br/><br/>Youll be taught by practitioners, researchers and scholars in the addiction and mental health fields and be encouraged to become a member of the Society for the Study of Addiction (SSA).
