This degree runs alongside the BA Archaeology, with a greater emphasis on scientific methods in archaeology, including laboratory-based research for the dissertation project.

Youll enjoy hands-on experience of human history, with many chances to work directly with artefacts and take part in fieldwork:
•minimum of four weeks excavation fieldwork
•artefact handling at the University-led Great North Museum
•a wide range of field trips in our historically rich region
