Course Overview - Law with French LLB (Hons)

The primary degree within the School of Law is the LLB (Honours), which takes three years to complete. In conjunction with the School of Modern Languages, we provide a four-year degree in Common and Civil Law with a European language (French or Spanish), and in conjunction with the School of Politics, International Studies and Philosophy, we also provide a three-year degree in Law with Politics.

A-level French grade A is required. A-level General Studies and Critical Thinking are normally excluded from offers. However, the grade achieved may be taken into account when results are published in August and may be used in a tie-break situation.

Successful completion of IB Diploma with 36 points overall with 6,6,6 at Higher Level including 6 in Higher Level French.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)

H1,H1,H2,H2,H2,H2

Higher Level French grade H1 is required.
