Manchester Metropolitan is one of the UK’s most applied to universities, offering a wide variety of courses and professional accreditations to ensure that students learning can be applied to their chosen career. The University has a community of over 38,000 current students and more than 280,000 alumni. The University offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses from across five faculties: Business and Law; Arts and Humanities; Education, Health, Psychology and Social Care and Science and Engineering.

Our campus is designed around students’ experience, providing them with some of the best learning and teaching facilities in the UK. The University is just a five-minute walk away from Manchester Oxford Road Railway Station. Everything in the city centre is within walking distance; from shops and restaurants to bars, train stations and local attractions, they are all close to one another. The city is easily navigated on foot, however, there is also no shortage of regular buses, taxis and trams.

The University has outstanding academic facilities with stylish lecture theatres, seminar rooms and study zones, equipped with the latest technology and specialist equipment to ensure that students get the most out of their studies. There’s a five-storey library which is open 24 hours a day during term time and there are touchdown zones all over campus, with PC access and free Wi-Fi throughout. There are several fantastic sports facilities close to the University, offering a great range of health and fitness activities and exclusive membership deals for students. To help students keep healthy or get started in sport there is a health and wellbeing programme and a supportive environment to try activities for free on a drop-in basis.

93% of Manchester Metropolitan graduates in 2016 went straight into work or further study within six months of graduation. More than 70 professional, regulatory and statutory bodies work in partnership with the University to provide accreditation, approval and recognition of degree programmes, ensuring that they are the right kind of courses for both the private and public sectors. The University regularly reviews its courses, placing employability at the very heart of the curriculum.

The city of Manchester has something for everyone, from history and culture to nightlife and shopping. It’s easy to get around the city with the extensive public transport system. Best of all, the university’s campus is only a ten-minute walk from the city centre. With shops and restaurants nearby, life around campus is lively and exciting. The University’s student accommodation is located on campus or nearby, with the majority of accommodation is no more than a few minutes walk from teaching and learning facilities.  The Student’s Union is conveniently located on campus and provides students with a bar, shop, café and event venue.  It is also the home to over 150 clubs and societies which are available for all students to take part in.
