  University Summary

About this University

At the University of West London we aim to inspire students to become creative professionals and connect them to exciting and rewarding careers.  The University of West London has one of the best employment rates in the country with 96% of students in work within six months of graduating. These are the latest figures according to Employment Performance Indicators (EPI) released by the Higher Education Statistics Agency HESA in July 2015.

Based in the heart of one of the UK’s most successful business regions, the University has a range of highly qualified staff, with a wealth of experience in their respective disciplines, and strong connections with key industries.

The University has a strong reputation for high-quality education closely linked to employment: our graduates go on to achieve great success in their chosen disciplines and professions.

Our West London campus is located in what is widely regarded as being one of the most desirable places in London to live. There is a free bus available to all students which connect the two sites, Ealing and Brentford, just 10 minutes apart. Both towns combine a vibrant, cosmopolitan atmosphere with spacious parks and relaxed cafe culture. The area is safe, beautiful, multicultural and close to both London Heathrow Airport and the very centre of the city of London.

More Info

Over a three year period the University embarked on a £50million plus redevelopment project, known as Future Campus, to enhance students’ social and learning experience, thereby maintaining our position as a leading modern university in London.

The Paul Hamlyn Library

This new facility at our Ealing site boasts three new floors of library resources, including 780 study spaces, 150 PCs, a group study pavilion, three PC training labs and new self-service technology for checking books in and out. The space will modernise study and borrowing, allowing students to more easily engage in both individual and group study. In addition to online databases and research tools, students will have access to books and materials 24 hours a day.

Weston Hall

This auditorium is the largest, most flexible space at the University and can be configured to suit a variety of needs.

With 225 fixed retractable seats, an additional 200 loose seats and a folding partition, this versatile area can be used as a large lecture theatre, a performance space, or as a space for careers fairs, graduation ceremonies and other events.

Blast Radio Studios

Blast FM, the official student station for UWL, broadcasts from two state-of-the-art radio studios that simulate the very latest in contemporary commercial radio operations.
