The University of Wales Trinity Saint David has three main campuses in South West Wales – Carmarthen, Lampeter and Swansea ‒ each offering a different kind of student experience, although each with the same small and friendly, community feel. UWTSD holds the third oldest Royal Charter of any university in Wales and England, after Oxford and Cambridge, dating back to 1828, while all of our campuses have long traditions of teaching excellence.
In Cardiff, we offer a Welsh-medium two-year degree in Performance as well as postgraduate programmes at our Wales International Academy of Voice (WIAV). We also provide a range of business and management programmes at our campus in London.
Swansea Waterfront Innovation Quarter, due to open in 2018, will bring UWTSD Swansea students even closer to the city’s exciting seafront while all the amenities of the city centre will still be just a short walk away.
Also in 2018, Wales’ national broadcaster S4C is set to open its new headquarters, Canolfan S4C Yr Egin, on our Carmarthen campus, bringing with it a wealth of opportunity for students.
Each campus is unique and offers a range of subjects – with five faculties and over 400 courses, there’s plenty to choose from. At UWTSD we have the right course and campus for you! Go Far with UWTSD.
Founded in 1853, the Swansea campuses are located at the heart of Wales’ premier waterfront city, with sport and leisure opportunities on its stunning coastline, excellent shopping and nightlife, and a cosmopolitan atmosphere. The beach is just a stone’s throw away, with plenty of places to relax and study.
Founded in 1848, the Carmarthen campus is a lively, friendly environment in this town near the Welsh coast. It has a real community feel and, with accommodation, learning facilities, sports, entertainment and renowned arts and cultural opportunities all a few hundred yards away, everything you’ll need is within easy reach.
A vibrant market town surrounded by the beautiful Cambrian Mountains, Lampeter boasts interesting independent shops with plenty of cafes and scenic spots in which to relax and study. The University, founded in 1822, has an active students’ union with lots of clubs and societies to keep you busy.
