This course will teach you how to improve performance at all levels, from beginners to top athletes. You’ll discover how to make a positive impact on others’ lives, whether though helping them to compete or by supporting them to live healthier, happier lives. <br/><br/>This degree is all about helping you achieve your career goals. You can choose areas to specialise in to match your interests, such as in coaching, performance analysis, or talent development. You will learn to: <br/><br/><br/>- Use up-to-date coaching techniques. Discover and apply the latest methods to improve your coaching practice. <br/><br/><br/>- Communicate and lead effectively. Develop strong leadership and communication skills that will help you motivate and guide others. <br/><br/><br/>- Learn by doing. Instead of traditional exams, you’ll complete practical tasks like creating portfolios, running coaching sessions, and giving presentations. <br/><br/><br/>Our degree focuses on practical learning to help you gain real-world experience. You will participate in small-group workshops, allowing for more interaction and personalised attention. With free days in your schedule, you can pursue internships and other personal development activities. You’ll have access to opportunities such as gaining work experience, getting involved in coaching roles to practice your skills and build your resume. Our teaching staff includes experienced coaches and professionals from the industry. These include both professional and community focused organisations. Our students are currently working with the following organisations and more: <br/><br/>• Salford Red Devils RLFC <br/>• Active Lancashire <br/>• Preston North End <br/>• Preston Panthers Disability Sports Club <br/>• Bolton Gymnastics Club <br/><br/>**Future Careers**<br/>Our BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching degree will put you on the road to professional practice – with the skills, experience and know-how to pursue a future in coaching from the day you graduate. <br/><br/>Our graduates are now employed in roles including: <br/>Head Gymnastics Coach <br/>Head of Coaching <br/>Lead Performance Analyst <br/>Netball Academy Coach <br/>Community Football Development Manager <br/>PE Teachers <br/>Academy Football Coaches <br/><br/>A number of graduates continue to study with us through our MSc Sports Coaching master’s degree, continuing to enhance their knowledge whilst in their full-time job. Others have considered an MA in Performance Analysis & Talent Management or a PGCE to start teaching.
