It is about linking ideas, research and policies from multiple sectors to achieve better health outcomes. Examples include the world-leading research being carried out into eliminating rabies, the surveillance of anthrax in Africa, and research on Lyme disease in the Outer Hebrides. It is this ongoing research that inspires the innovative, multinational ideas running throughout our multidisciplinary programme.<br/><br/><br/>- Throughout the MSc One Health online programme, we also raise awareness of cultural and societal factors that influence how One Health approaches are translated into practice.<br/><br/><br/>**PROGRAMME STRUCTURE**<br/><br/>**PgCert**<br/>Year 1: 3 x 20 credit core courses<br/><br/>**PgDip**<br/>Year 1: 3 x 20 credit core courses<br/>Year 2: 3 x 20 credit optional courses<br/><br/>**MSc**<br/>Year 1: 3 x 20 credit core courses<br/>Year 2: 3 x 20 credit optional courses<br/>Year 3: 1 x 60 credit dissertation<br/><br/>The first year of study will explore and examine the value of the One Health framework, explore major techniques to measure health of populations and introduce zoonotic diseases, one of the core subjects of One Health.<br/><br/>During the second year, you will be able to choose courses in an area of special interest.<br/><br/>The third year will allow you to gain in-depth knowledge in your area of special interest through a research project.<br/><br/>Throughout each course you will be assessed in a variety of ways which could include essays, discussions, blogs, online presentations, interactive quizzes, assignments or group work.
