Youll explore a diverse range of topics, including gender, violence, migration, national identities and the environment, across the 17th to the 20th centuries. The historic site of our Greenwich Campus provides easy access to important archives and museums in central London.<br/><br/>You can also undertake a placement in the creative, cultural, education or heritage sectors, and explore other subjects such as politics, English, or a foreign language. Our history graduates emerge with valuable communication, digital and project management skills for a wide range of careers, including teaching, journalism, publishing and heritage management.<br/><br/>**What you should know about this course**<br/>- The course traces over 500 years of British and global histories.<br/><br/><br/>- The course explores the origins of globalisation where east and west meet. It follows women and men – including sailors, slaves, merchants, criminals who passed through Greenwich - en route to making the modern world.<br/><br/><br/>- It introduces you to a range of historical methods and historiography, and aims to help you develop as a critical, analytical thinker and communicator.<br/><br/><br/>- You will work with creative and inspiring teachers and researchers whose work shapes the modules youll follow.<br/><br/><br/>- Our History in practice and work placement modules provide an opportunity to apply your historical knowledge and skills to a range of organisations and employers.<br/>
