The course includes an extra year to prepare you for degree-level study.**<br/><br/>Our extended degree in pharmaceutical sciences explores areas such as biochemistry, biology, physiology, pharmacology, and drug design and delivery. A project and laboratory work will give you opportunities to get hands-on experience.<br/><br/>Before studying the same modules offered on our three-year course, youll complete a foundation year. This will get you up to speed with learning at degree level.<br/><br/>Graduate careers include roles in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, research and development, food industries, quality control and manufacturing. The course is a stepping stone to qualified person status with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. You can also apply for membership of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences.<br/><br/>**What you should know about this course**<br/>- This four-year course includes the same modules as the three-year course but has a foundation year to make it available with lower requirements<br/><br/><br/>- If you have the ability but not the qualifications, this programme is your first step to graduation<br/><br/><br/>- The foundation year will introduce you to the subject and develop your academic writing and computing skills.<br/><br/><br/>- This course is taught at our Medway Campus in Chatham Maritime, Kent.<br/>
