You will also develop computational proficiency and learn how mathematical modelling can be used to analyse real-world problems. These skills are vital to many industries and are highly sought-after by employers.<br/><br/>In this three-year BSc you will gain a sound knowledge of the most important areas of applied mathematics, including calculus, linear algebra, differential equations and statistics and probability. The skills you will gain throughout the course are highly attractive to employers and our graduates are in high demand in many industries, including finance, technology, engineering, healthcare, data science, and more.<br/><br/>Delivered by the Department of Mathematical Sciences, students are taught in a friendly, supportive environment by highly qualified staff, who have first-class reputations in teaching and research.<br/><br/>This programme is available with either a Year in China or a Year Abroad. The Year in China offers undergraduate students the opportunity to spend one year at our joint venture, Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), following XJTLUs BA China Studies degree classes. XJTLU is a fully English-speaking university, located in Suzhou. The Year Abroad offers students the opportunity to spend a full academic year studying at one of our partner universities around the world, following a mixture of culture and/or discipline-related modules. If you wish to study this programme with a Year in China or a Year Abroad you will have the opportunity to apply after you arrive at Liverpool.
