This course will provide the intellectual training to understand a range of political ideas. It will also give you a deeper knowledge of how governments work in todays world, alongside sharpening your research, presentational and analytical skills.

It will also give you a deeper knowledge of how governments work in todays world, alongside sharpening your research, presentational and analytical skills.<br/><br/>We offer a wide variety of modules in both politics and American studies, covering:<br/><br/><br/>- understanding global politics<br/><br/><br/>- parliamentary studies<br/><br/><br/>- international human rights<br/><br/><br/>- the American presidency<br/><br/><br/>- civil rights<br/><br/><br/>- US foreign policy<br/><br/><br/>You will also study American and Canadian history, literature, culture, film, music and art.<br/><br/>You have the opportunity to experience North America, by applying to study abroad for a year at a US or Canadian university. You can do this by transferring to the study abroad programme at the end of your first year. The option to study abroad is dependent on your academic performance and the availability of places.
