Topics include:<br/>- Family Criminology<br/><br/><br/>- Criminal Justice and Domestic Violence<br/><br/><br/>- Forensic Psychology<br/><br/><br/>- Criminological Imagination.<br/><br/><br/>Our degree is professionally accredited by the British Psychological Society.<br/><br/>**Skills**<br/>Study a degree that prepares you for a career in the criminal justice system, or for further study to become a Forensic Psychologist. Youll develop skills in:<br/>- Applying psychology and criminology directly to the criminal justice system, learning how the legal system works and treats offenders and victims of crime.<br/><br/><br/>- Neuroscience and how areas of the brain and brain damage can lead to riskier behaviour.<br/><br/><br/>- Research and data analysis, teamwork, communication, negotiation and presentations.<br/><br/><br/>When you graduate, your understanding of the human mind, criminology and the criminal justice system will allow you to excel in a range of careers.<br/><br/>**Career opportunities**<br/>You could go on to secure work in the prison and probation services, the police, Home Office, Ministry of Justice or the wider criminal justice system. Many of our students choose to study Psychology and Criminal Justice because the transferrable skills you develop are valued by a range of employers. You could work in the charity sector, for mental health services, in an educational setting or in a range of business roles.
