An apprenticeship is the system of training a new generation (Mainly students, however mature apprenticeships also exist) of practitioners of a trade or a profession with some on-the-job training and with accompanying study (Mainly classroom work and reading). An apprenticeship also enables any practitioners to have a license to practice in the regulated profession.
