Bangor University’s main campus is based in Bangor, North Wales. Many of the University’s buildings are situated around the city centre, with most academic buildings within a 10-minute walk. There are two residential campuses based on either side of the University and are within walking distance of the main buildings.

Bangor is a small city, so students don’t have to worry about the cost of taxis or buses, as supermarkets, gyms, launderettes, cafes, and pubs are all within walking distance.

Students living in halls can join in with Campus Life events designed to help you settle in and make friends; from open mic nights to quiz nights, there are a range of events taking place throughout the year.

Academi is Bangor’s Official Student Nightclub, providing great nightlife, with free entry for students living in University Halls, discounted entry for sponsored team members, plus offers at the bar; it’s a wonderful place to meet and hang out with friends.

Ffriddoedd Village has its own bar that serves food, drink and coffee, all within a short walking distance of your halls of residence. Over on St Mary's site there is also a place to meet friends, have a drink, play pool, and have coffee.
