The FdSc Applied Coaching & Analysis of Football Performance’ programme aims to develop students’ understanding of the dynamic and complex interactions which exist within the coaching, performance analysis and strength & conditioning environments. <br/><br/>The programme will provide students with an insightful awareness of how theory from a range of areas can both inform and be informed by practice in order to develop critical and innovative problem-solving abilities. Importantly the Applied Coaching & Analysis of Football Performance’ programme situates the coach-athlete relationship as an educational relationship and therefore this course places a high level of significance on the pedagogical role of the coach. <br/><br/>Students will consistently engage in practical sessions throughout their two years to explore their role, their understanding of the self and how they teach and communicate with athletes.<br/><br/>Upon successful completion of the foundation degree, students will have the opportunity to progress directly to the third year of either BSc(Hons) Sport Coaching or BSc(Hons) Sports Performance Analysis at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
