It was useful and informative. There were a lot of integrative activities Expensive but nice. The place was well kept and it had a lot of space Historical, gorgeous. They were adapted to modernity and had everything required They were useful. Prepared me for life Edinburgh is an amazing city. It is too cold though

Linguistics, Year 1

it is fantastic. I love it and the people here. they are amazing and everyone genuinely loves to learn. student treatment is great I am absolutely loving it. my instructors are very involved in class and they genuinely care about whether or not the students are learning. marks aren't as important to them as your understanding of the material. they encourage free thought and independent research and that separates Edinburgh from the other universities.

English, Year 2

(5)·By Rosie G·English Studies· Oct 2018
So far I have really enjoyed university. I was apprehensive like everyone when I arrived but have learnt everything gets so much easier in Year 2, except the work, the work gets harder. I've made friends and started running. Edinburgh University's student community is really strong, and I am so glad I have a space here.

Classrooms mostly fully equipped The lecturers were really interesting and knowledgable about their topics. Course is very varied which is great Small but great since everything is in walking distance. Many places to visit. Been here for 4 years and still have so many places i want to visit

Veterinary Sciences, Year 3

(5)·By Claire G·Veterinary Sciences· Jul 2021
Freshers weeks was amazing. There were so many fun activities both with the main uni and the vet school. I meet so many amazing people and had a great time The accomodation was really good and they had some options for every need. There was a good price range and both catered and no catered choices The facilities are really good. The library is lovely. The vet school building has loads of great features and some really great study spaces Our course is very interactive with loads of practical classes. We get a lot of hands on time with animals. Our lecturers are also amazing and really go the extra mile to help us out The city is great. Everything is within walking distance making it all very accessible. There are loads of cute independent cafes which is great and some really cool shops

Economics, Graduate

(5)·By Jemima H·Economics· Jul 2021
Met loads of people and was able to meet my class that I would be studying. I met friends in my class that I stayed friends with the whole way through uni. Very nice, depending on where you choose to be. I did self catering so I could cook for my self Library is fantastic. Great facilities with computers and study materials. World class gym. Course was very challenging, I didn't get board. Lecturers were world renowned in their field and they were willing to help as long as you ask. Edinburgh is the best city to live in. It is safe and you can walk everywhere, amazing place for a student to live in.

Busy! Lots of meeting new people, socialising and exploring a new city My accommodation was a little further out of the city than most, but there were a lot of us there so we could have house parties there rather than always going out All good, more than one campus means you have options when it comes to picking a library with space, and the student union had great socials on a Saturday night Lectures given by specialists, and lots of practical sessions. Really enjoy all practicals as they are all so different and relevant to the course Lovely living in the capital city of Scotland. Great day and nightlife, in a city with amazing history and culture
