Clearing SMS

This guide explains how to prepare your Clearing SMS campaign and what your team needs to supply.

Clearing SMS gives students a direct prompt to explore your university or a particular subject. We write your SMS content and send it for approval, saving you time while keeping the message focused on the next step.

What we need from you

  • One UTM tracking link to the relevant Clearing landing page.

  • Approval of the SMS copy we prepare.

  • Any audience preferences to discuss, such as a subject or location relevant to your booking.

Choose a destination that matches the message and makes the next action easy to find. Audience segmentation depends on the campaign booked and the available audience size.

Preparing the message

Keep your SMS copy within 100 characters, excluding the tracking link. Lead with a clear benefit and a strong call to action, such as exploring available courses or contacting your Clearing team.

We can prepare this wording for you. If you request changes, your Client Success representative will help ensure the message meets the channel requirements.

SMS within a bundle

If your SMS is included in Pre-Clearing Boost or a Regional Geo Bundle, one UTM tracking link covers the full campaign. There is no need to provide a separate link for every channel.

Key information: your send timing and audience are determined by your booking. Check these with Client Success when approving the message.
