Whether its tackling climate change, responding to the challenges of artificial intelligence, understanding global conflict, or questioning the role of religion and existence of God, the critical thinking, communication and reflective skills developed through studying philosophy, ethics and religion are essential. <br/><br/>Drawing on classic and contemporary thinkers, you’ll examine humanitys most enduring questions and discover how their answers respond to todays most pressing moral, religious, and political issues. Taught by world-leading experts, youll explore themes such as the role of religion in society, the existence of God and nature of moral goodness, the diverse views of Non-Western and Indigenous traditions, and the philosophical ideas that continue to shape global politics. <br/><br/>In doing so, you’ll not only develop strong skills in communication, problem solving, and the analysis and debate of complex ideas, but also become more reflective and aware of what it means to be human.<br/><br/>But education does not stop in the classroom. Throughout the course, youll apply your knowledge and skills in real employment settings, helping you build your CV, grow your work experience, and connect with potential future employers.<br/><br/><strong>Professional work placements</strong><br/>All students complete a work placement in an area tailored to their interests, knowledge, and skills. Our students have secured placements across a wide range of industries and settings - from teaching GCSE and A Level RE in schools and colleges, to holding university research posts, gaining hands-on experience in charities, working in MP offices during election campaigns, assisting in legal firms, and contributing to problem-solving tasks in local government. <br/><br/><strong>Graduate opportunities</strong><br/>Studying philosophy, ethics and religion equip you with some of the most sought-after skills for future employment: problem solving, communication, argumentation, and interpretation.
