You will gain an extensive knowledge of the foundations and content of the law of England and Wales and learn about the latest developments in both law and politics.<br/><br/>The degree covers all the elements required to achieve an LLB. You will explore topics such as the English Legal System, Public Law, Criminal Law and European Union Law. Politics modules include Introduction to Politics and Government and a wide range of more specialist second- and specialist final-year modules in policy, democratic practice and political theory.<br/><br/><br/>• Understand the key features of English and European law.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Develop key legal research and communication skills.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Examine governments, party politics and political behaviour throughout the world.<br/><br/>

Where an applicant is taking the EPQ alongside A-levels, the EPQ will be taken into consideration and result in lower A-level grades being required. Socio-economics factors which may have impacted an applicant's education will be taken into consideration and alternative offers may be made to these applicants. General Studies and Critical thinking A-levels are not accepted.
Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (last awarded Summer 2024)
Requirements are as for A-levels where one non-subject-specified A-level can be replaced by the same grade in the Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate.
