As an MSc Chiropractic student, you will learn about signs and symptoms of disease, pathology and clinical reasoning through a series of clinical cases. Patient contact will be central to your learning experience and from the start of your course, you’ll spend time in our on-site clinic, observing and developing your skills in diagnosing and managing patients. You’ll complete two clinical placements, enabling you to put your learning into practice in a supervised clinical setting.<br/><br/><strong>Why study for MSc Chiropractic (Pre-registration) at Health Sciences University?</strong><br/><br/>The MSc Chiropractic (Pre-registration) is a two year full time course which will develop safe, competent and effective chiropractic clinicians from a pool of individuals representing a range of experiences across the healthcare continuum.<br/><br/>As primary contact practitioners, graduates from the course will need to possess sound clinical reasoning skills, act autonomously and independently in a modern, collaborative healthcare environment, cognisant of the high standards of care expected of them and the many obligations and requirements of professional health provision in the 21st century.<br/><br/>As well as the specialist knowledge and understanding of neuromusculoskeletal health required for chiropractic care, the programme also aims to ingrain graduates with the psychomotor, communication and critical appraisal skills vital for the developing professional. In addition, one of the core aims of the course is to ensure graduates can work effectively with others across the health and social care domain as well as make a valuable contribution to the future development of the chiropractic profession.<br/><br/>The Health Sciences University is the longest established chiropractic training institution in Europe with over 50 years’ experience in the profession. Our dedicated team of scientists, researchers and clinicians will use your existing knowledge and skills and enhance these to develop the patient assessment and management tools required for professional practice. You will be exposed to clinical practice from the first year of the course in our onsite clinic, reflecting on your own personal and professional development needs.
