This degree combines the study of one or two languages (Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish) with relevant principles and practice of business management. Youll spend a year working or studying abroad, immersed in the culture of another country. Your business management modules include topics such as organisational behaviour, marketing and human resource management.

Mathematics required at National 5, minimum grade B (or grade 2 Standard Grade or Intermediate 2 equivalent). Where a candidate wishes to study a single language from beginners level and does not have a language at Higher Grade, then National 5, minimum grade B (or grade 2 Standard Grade or Intermediate 2 equivalent) is required in a language. Scottish qualifications can be taken in more than one sitting.

A minimum of 30 level 3 credits at Distinction and 15 level 3 credits at Merit is required. Evidence of study in the relevant languages to the required level is also required. GCSE Maths grade B or 6 is also required.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

Applicants will be considered on an individual basis. B or 6 in GCSE Mathematics required. Evidence of study in the relevant language at A Level or equivalent is also required. Where a candidate wishes to study a single language from beginners level then a grade B or 6 in a language at GCSE is required.

Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)

H1,H2,H2,H3,H3

Including French, German or Spanish at H2. Ordinary Level Mathematics at grade O2 required if not offered at Higher Level. Where a candidate wishes to study a single language from beginners level and does not have a language at Higher Level, then grade O2 in a language at Ordinary Level is required.

Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate - Principal

D3,M2,M2

Including French, German or Spanish. GCSE Mathematics (minimum grade B or 6) is also required. Where a candidate wishes to study a language from beginners level and is not studying a Principal Subject in a language, then B or 6 in a modern foreign language at GCSE is required.

Extended Project

We welcome applications from students offering an Extended Project and value the skills of research and independent learning that it is designed to develop. If you offer an Extended Project, it will be taken into account as part of your application profile, but we will not usually include it in offer conditions for this degree programme.
