Our PhD/MPhil Psychiatry programme enables you to undertake a research project that will improve understanding of Psychiatry. <br/><br/>Our academics have internationally outstanding knowledge and expertise in conducting research studies in child and adolescent, adult and old age psychiatry. <br/><br/>Particular strengths include: <br/>• Severe mental disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder (including the prodromal stages of these conditions);<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Dementia;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Depression;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Anxiety disorders;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Personality disorders;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Autism spectrum disorder;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Attachment disorders;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Self-harm and suicide;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Homicide and other forms of interpersonal violence;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Forensic psychiatry;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Neurobiological and imaging studies;<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Psychiatric epidemiology.<br/><br/>
