Problem solving is a very important skill, and you will use your critical thinking and analysis skills to apply the UK and EU codes of practice and industry standards learned on this course. The areas of maths and science which support engineering principles will be covered, along with management techniques and subjects that boost your awareness of the economic and commercial context of engineering processes. <br/><br/>You will acquire knowledge of various aspects of the civil engineering field; in particular, in-depth theoretical knowledge of structural design and analysis as well as an understanding of concrete technology. Exposure to setting-out processes and surveying will equip students with the principles of mapping and land surveying.
