The title dietitian is the only food and nutrition title that is protected by law. This is an exciting and innovative course, where you will learn the underpinning dietetic knowledge, skills, values and behaviours that are fundamental to dietetic practice.</strong><br/><br/>Dietitians are well placed to address many of the diet-related diseases facing both the UK and global population including obesity, diabetes and malnutrition, having a focus on both prevention and treatment of disease, as well as leading on cutting-edge developments in food and nutrition such as diet and sustainability, personalised nutrition and digital dietetics.<br/><br/>This course gives graduates eligibility to apply for registration as a dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and enter the workforce as a registered Allied Health Professional. These Hubs provide 2 purpose-built six-bedded hospital wards and out-patient/clinic facilities where you will practise your clinical dietetic skills and enhance your practical training. Furthermore, you will practise your culinary application of the science of food and its therapeutic application in our outstanding food industry training facilities in the Birmingham College of Food, where you will have practical classes utilising developmental kitchens and food sensory evaluation facilities.
