With an extensive range of specialisms, well support you to contribute original research to the field of Hispanic Studies.<br/><br/>Research in Hispanic studies covers the history, literatures and cultures of Spain, Catalonia, the Hispanic Caribbean, Spanish America, Portugal and Brazil.<br/><br/>Our research is interdisciplinary and includes expertise from Linguistics, Translation Studies and Film. We welcome research proposals that go beyond subject boundaries. <br/><br/>You can be jointly supervised by an academic specialising in Hispanic studies and another from a different discipline, depending on your research interests.<br/><br/>Research a range of cultural, literary, historical, and socio-political topics related to periods from the Middle Ages to the present day.<br/>Become part of one of the UKs largest academic communities of researchers exploring the European national cultures.<br/>Conduct your PhD research from anywhere in the world through our online distance learning option.
