<strong>Take a global approach to studying history. Understand how change has taken place across the world, taking advantage of our expertise across a wide range of countries and time periods.</strong><br/><br/>In a world where we are connected worldwide through instant communication, there’s never been a more important time to study History across a global spectrum. On this course, you’ll explore how history informs your world, and its continuing transformations.<br/><br/>You’ll study modules that will give you the tools to approach global history through different perspectives. You’ll develop a more diverse way of looking at the past and think critically about your previous assumptions.<br/><br/>Alongside your broad grounding in global history, you can pick from a wealth of optional modules which focus on countries from Iran to America. You can also choose modules which examine different types of histories and different communities, such as the history of religion, indigenous cultures, and queer and trans histories.<br/><br/>Study different disciplines alongside History with the option to pick modules in other subject areas, including Modern Languages, Art History or English.<br/><br/><br/>• Examine global and social issues across a wide range of modules.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Study in a Department ranked eighth in the country in the Research Excellence Framework exercise 2021, according to Times Higher Education.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Make the most of our outstanding international reputation for research by engaging with research seminars, regular workshops and conferences.<br/><br/>
