The Edinburgh Cancer Research Centre strives to take a comprehensive approach to cancer research with themes including brain, colorectal, gynaecological, hepatobiliary, mesothelioma, pancreatic and others, combining both laboratory-based research, clinical approaches and analytical.<br/><br/>Overall the centre accepts self-funded students, a number of students from other funded programs and there are several highly competitive fully-funded PhD studentships awarded from the CRUK Scotland Centre for both non-clinical and clinical researchers/medical students. <br/><br/>MScRs are generally for 1 year and PhDs are generally for 3 years, although some programs are funded for longer due to extra training associated with these programs.
