Digital Communications MSc (Res)

Our programme of research delivers world-leading research in signal and image processing and communications from fundamental theoretical and algorithmic work through to its translation to specific audio, imaging, radar/sonar, and communications applications.<br/><br/>Research students can undertake projects on a variety of research topics, including:<br/>- green radio<br/><br/><br/>- visible light communications<br/><br/><br/>- cognitive radio<br/><br/><br/>- compressive sensing<br/><br/><br/>- distributed sensor signal processing<br/><br/><br/>- agile tomography<br/><br/><br/>As a Masters by Research (MScR) student, you will spend the duration of this programme working on a research project. An MScR programme allows you to gain specialist knowledge in your research area, and is sometimes taken as a precursor to a PhD.<br/><br/>You will conduct your research as part of the Institute for Imaging, Data and Communications (IDCOM). The Institutes work is focused on driving technological advancements, improving efficiency, ensuring security and privacy, supporting emerging technologies, enabling cross-disciplinary applications, and fostering academic and industrial innovation.
