Through field research and observation, anthropologists generate fresh insights into complex global challenges. Youll learn to understand the experiences of those most affected by these challenges.<br/><br/>Sussex has one of the UK’s largest Social Anthropology departments. The broad diversity of our expertise will allow you to:<br/><br/><br/>- gain advanced knowledge of anthropology’s academic tradition and contemporary application<br/><br/><br/>- tailor your degree to match your own interests within anthropology<br/><br/><br/>- develop ethnographic research skills and apply them in your dissertation<br/><br/><br/>- put theory into practice, learning how anthropology makes a difference in the world.<br/><br/><br/>Youll be part of our School of Global Studies. We have a strong tradition of engaged anthropology focusing on real-world issues. This MA is for you if you want to deepen your knowledge of anthropology – but it also offers professional training if you’re new to the field.<br/><br/>Anthropology is applicable in everyday life and a growing number of professional contexts, from NGOs to large companies and education institutions to research and policy organisations.<br/><br/><strong>About Sussex</strong><br/><br/>Our courses, research, culture and campus aim to stimulate, excite and challenge.
