On this Film and Drama degree, you can explore your passion for performing arts, visual communication and live artistic expression. Develop your critical and theoretical understanding of film and drama whilst improving your professional practice. <br/><br/>Learn skills in filmmaking and editing, improve your acting skills and rehears and perform with fellow drama students whilst learning about the cultural and historical impact of film and drama. You will learn about the film industry, film history and theory, as well as filmmaking techniques. You can also explore digital media, television, radio, music videos, podcasting and social media.<br/><br/>We cover all forms of drama from stage and screen to radio and podcast. We look at diverse practices, including arts management, health and wellbeing and creativity in education. Our Drama staff are all practising professionals with experience in actor’s training, directing, production and new writing with additional expertise in Musical Theatre, Opera and Community Theatre. <br/><br/>Studying Film and Drama at Bangor can be your launchpad to a great career across the creative and cultural industries. We have strong links with theatres, arts centres, cinemas and media companies provide opportunities to gain work experience.<br/><br/>‘Placement Year’ and International Experience Year’ options are available for this course. You will have the opportunity to fully consider these options when you have started your course at Bangor and can make an application for a transfer onto such a pathway at the appropriate time.
