Have you ever thought about the impact the media is having on you, society and culture? Or created a campaign that is both visually appealing and impactful?<br/><br/>This BA (Hons) Media and Communications degree at Cardiff Met is uniquely designed to bridge theory and practice by developing your digital design, critical thinking, and media writing skills. The degree enables you to develop knowledge and skills that are essential for a career in the media, marketing and communications industries.<br/><br/>From becoming a researcher or policy maker, to working as a content creator for an organisation or charity, to being your own boss as a media owner or freelance journalist, this degree works with you to draw upon your own interests, empowering you to become a specialist in your chosen field. This could include the fields of sport, music, film, TV, gaming, social media, or science to name just a few.<br/><br/>The second-year placement and related optional modules, as well as collaborative projects and real-world simulations, are embedded throughout the degree to ensure that you will gain invaluable work experience and opportunities to develop your entrepreneurial competencies.<br/><br/>As an Adobe Creative Campus, you will have access to the Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Express software, as well as other excellent on-site facilities such as our podcasting studio and media suite. Upon completion, not only will you have a degree certificate and an abundance of invaluable work-based experiences, but you will also have a digital portfolio of work to show to future employers.
