Accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS)\*, our contemporary Psychology with Counselling degree explores the mind, brain, and behaviour through the investigation of psychological theories that underpin cognition, individual differences and social development. Examine various theoretical approaches within counselling, from Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy to other broad holistic approaches to wellbeing, with a focus on the person-centred approach. You will develop professional practitioner skills around compassion, care, active listening, and interpersonal communication.
Our programme equips you with essential skills in both quantitative and qualitative research, ensuring a thorough understanding of diverse psychological methodologies. You will have access to a range of facilities and equipment, including virtual reality headsets, brain stimulation devices, and our state-of-the-art Central Science Laboratories.
