Childhood Studies Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) - BA (Hons)

If you’re interested in understanding how children and young people grow, learn and experience the world, Childhood Studies BA (Hons) gives you the knowledge and skills to make a positive difference. You’ll explore topics including child development, play, learning, education, health and wellbeing, children’s rights and social inequality, considering how these shape childhood in the UK and around the world.

You’ll study childhood from different perspectives, including developmental psychology, sociology, politics, history and social policy. This multidisciplinary approach will help you understand the social, cultural and political factors that influence children and young people’s lives. You’ll also develop practical research, critical thinking and communication skills that are valuable for your future career.
