Social Anthropology seeks to understand what it is to be human across the world, studying societies across space and time in order to grasp their cultural similarities and differences. Queen's has one of the most successful Social Anthropology units in the UK and Ireland. Social Anthropology at Queen’s has consistently obtained excellent gradings in the UK Research Assessment Exercises, and has been commended by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education for the teaching and learning opportunities it provides for its students.

A level
Post A-level Spanish ABB including A-level Spanish. Note: for applicants who have not studied A-level Spanish then AS-level Spanish grade B would be acceptable in lieu of A-level Spanish. Beginners Spanish ABB + GCSE Spanish grade B/6 or GCSE grade B/6 in another modern language (not GCSE English Language). Note: If the language is studied at a higher level then the grade required at that level must be achieved. The Beginners' option is not available to those who have studied A-level or AS-level Spanish. A-level General Studies and Critical Thinking are normally excluded from offers. However, the grade achieved may be taken into account when results are published in August and may be used in a tie-break situation.
