International Relations and World Philosophies BA (Hons)

Our unique World Philosophies degree offers you the chance to engage with a diverse range of philosophical traditions from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. This course will expand your knowledge and develop your critical understanding of philosophy in the context of a wider range of societies and historical eras than a traditional philosophy degree. You will investigate the origin, nature, methods, and limits of human knowledge; traditions of argumentation; as well as political and ethical systems of thought from a truly global perspective.<br/><br/>This degree also offers you a global and comparative approach to the study of world affairs. A study of world history and global power relations allows students to understand the sources of conflict and cooperation among state; shifts in the international economy; as well as the roles of culture, identity and ideas in world politics.
