Are you looking for a medical degree that offers expert clinical teaching, accelerated learning and dedicated NHS orientation through a paid year in healthcare employment?

Swansea University’s Medicine MB BCh course offers A Level (or equivalent) students the opportunity to study medicine with a dedicated paid year in employment. You will spend an initial year in paid employment as a Healthcare Support Worker near to where you live in Southwest Wales, followed by four years studying on our MB BCh programme based at our Singleton Park campus in Swansea.

Please note: Applicants must be studying their A-Levels (or equivalent) or have completed their studies within the last two years at the time of application. Applicants must also be a current resident, and have attended secondary school, within one of the following local authority areas: Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion or Pembrokeshire.

Our Medicine degree is designed to reflect the way in which clinicians approach patients, and how patients present to doctors, and will cover a range of topics in clinical medicine, public health, pathology, therapeutics, ethics and psycho-social issues, taught through a spiral curriculum.
