You will develop key academic and professional skills such as communication, critical thinking and independent learning, while exploring contemporary issues affecting individuals and society. You will also be introduced to core legal principles and begin to develop your skills in analysis, reasoning and problem-solving through project work and practical activities.<br/><br/>As you progress, you will explore law in greater depth, developing a strong understanding of legal principles, institutions and processes. You will examine how law operates within social, political and economic contexts, and develop your ability to analyse legal problems and construct well-reasoned arguments.<br/><br/>The programme prepares you for a range of careers in law, including progression towards becoming a solicitor or barrister, as well as roles in business, public services and other sectors where legal knowledge is valued.<br/><br/>In the first year of the programme, you will build a strong foundation for studying law at university level. You will develop key academic and professional skills such as communication, critical thinking and independent learning, while being introduced to core legal concepts.
