You will develop key academic and professional skills such as numeracy, communication and critical thinking, while exploring contemporary economic issues affecting individuals, organisations and the global economy. Through project work and practical activities, you will develop your skills in research, data analysis and problem-solving.<br/><br/>As you progress, you will explore microeconomics, macroeconomics and applied economics. You will develop your ability to analyse data, understand economic trends and evaluate policy.<br/><br/>The programme prepares you for careers in finance, business, policy and consultancy.<br/><br/>In the first year of the programme, you will build a strong foundation for studying economics at university level. You will develop key academic and professional skills such as numeracy, communication, critical thinking and independent learning, while being introduced to economic thinking and contemporary global issues. Through project work and practical activities, you will begin to analyse data, interpret trends and develop your problem-solving skills.<br/><br/>The programme uses a range of teaching methods to support your learning and development. Teaching typically takes place through lectures, seminars and workshops, where you will explore economic concepts and apply them to real-world examples. You will be supported to develop your academic skills and approach to learning.<br/><br/>As you progress, you will explore economics in greater depth, including microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics.
