From the moment you enrol, you will begin developing the knowledge, skills and professional understanding needed to study law and apply it in practice.<br/><br/>In the first year, you will build a strong foundation for studying at university level. You will develop key academic and professional skills such as communication, critical thinking and independent learning, while exploring contemporary issues affecting individuals and society. You will also be introduced to core legal principles and begin to develop your skills in analysis and problem-solving through project work and practical activities.<br/><br/>As you progress, you will explore law in greater depth and develop the knowledge and skills required for legal practice. The programme combines academic study with a focus on practical legal skills, including legal research, drafting and client-focused problem-solving.<br/><br/>The programme is designed to support progression towards the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) and prepares you for a career in legal practice.<br/><br/>In the first year of the programme, you will build a strong foundation for studying law at university level. You will develop key academic and professional skills while being introduced to core legal concepts. Through project work and practical activities, you will develop confidence in legal reasoning and problem-solving.<br/><br/>The programme uses a range of teaching methods including lectures, seminars and workshops, alongside activities that reflect professional legal practice. You will be supported to develop your academic skills and approach to learning.<br/><br/>As you progress, you will explore law in greater depth and develop practical legal skills, including legal research, drafting and advising. You will apply what you’ve learned to realistic legal scenarios and develop your ability to work in a professional context.
