**Course Overview**<br/><br/>Want to make a difference? Our BA (Hons) Applied Community and Social Care Studies course will provide you with a strong knowledge base and develop the key skills required for community and social care leadership roles.<br/><br/>**Why study with us**<br/><br/><br/>- Excellent teaching and student support from the course team and University’s wider support services.<br/><br/><br/>- Guided opportunities to access structured work experience via our own Central for Volunteering in Community Leadership (CVCL).<br/><br/><br/>- Youll have the opportunity to hear about the experiences of service users, carers, patients and public members via our community engagement and service user support (Comensus) groups.<br/><br/><br/>**What youll do**<br/><br/><br/>- Interactive, inclusive and engaging lectures/ seminars incorporating a blended learning approach both in class and online for flexibility of learning and study.<br/><br/><br/>- Our strong links with employers and agencies enable you to link classroom learning to live experiences across a wide range of social care and community-based organisations.<br/><br/><br/>- You’ll be encouraged to enrich your experience by engaging with the School’s research culture through attending guest speaker seminars and conferences.<br/><br/><br/>**Future careers**<br/><br/>BA (Hons) Applied Community and Social Care Studies graduates are well placed to work for a wide variety of employers in welfare settings: education, the police, probation and the national offender service, youth offending teams, housing management, substance misuse agencies and many more.
