If so, then our BA Media Studies with a Foundation Year is the perfect choice. <br/><br/>Our foundation year is an intensive and exciting year of study. Focusing on areas such as the creative industries and video production, youll create a toolkit of essential academic and practical skills. <br/><br/>Youll study with dedicated lecturers from UEA’s Interdisciplinary Institute for the Humanities. We’ll support you to work towards your own learning goals in an encouraging, rewarding environment. Alongside Media and Film, you’ll explore a range of related academic subjects, to help you to understand important political, cultural and historical contexts. We’ll help you make connections between different disciplines to spark your curiosity and creativity. On your Media Studies Foundation Year, you’ll have access to all the opportunities and resources that UEA has to offer. This includes our brilliant in-house media facilities, incorporating a television studio, so you can hone your practical and creative communication skills. <br/><br/>As you develop your own academic passions, you’ll then be well-placed to progress onto the degree that’s best for you. After successfully completing your foundation year, you’ll move straight onto the BA Media Studies degree. Alternatively, you can request to transfer to another undergraduate course within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, subject to taking the required prerequisite modules.
