Our law with criminology degree is aimed at those who want to study the main range of legal knowledge, and complement this with knowledge of the causes, consequences and prevention of crime.
You will study essential areas of law, including Criminal Law and Public Law. In your final year you will be able to choose a specialist law module, such as Immigration Law, Company Law or Family Law.

<strong>Our law with criminology degree is aimed at those who want to study the main range of legal knowledge, and complement this with knowledge of the causes, consequences and prevention of crime.</strong><br/><br/>You will study essential areas of law, including Criminal Law and Public Law. In your final year you will be able to choose a specialist law module, such as Immigration Law, Company Law or Family Law.<br/><br/>You will also study Criminology modules such as Foundations of Criminology and Policing and Society.<br/><br/>The curriculum will be complemented by a range of employability opportunities that you can apply for. These include mentor programmes with relevant organisations, assisting lawyers in our Legal Advice Centre, the Innocence Project London, our Community Street Law Project, and moots and mock trials.<br/><br/><strong>Complete your law degree at Greenwich - and get a US law degree in just 15 extra months</strong><br/><br/>Graduates of University of Greenwich law degreeshave a fantastic opportunity to progress on to the JD programme (Juris Doctor - the American law degree) or LLM programme with our partners at Mitchell Hamline School of Law (MHSL), in Minnesota, USA.<br/><br/>This pioneering agreement between the two universities, means that our graduates can complete their JD programme in only 15 months rather than the full three years.<br/><br/>Mitchell Hamline School of Law is also offering up to 50% scholarships (depending on the student application) to Greenwich graduates.<br/><br/>For further information please contact law@gre.ac.uk.<br/><br/><strong>What you should know about this course</strong><br/>• This degree includes the foundations of legal knowledge recognised by the Bar Standards Board.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• This degree incorporates knowledge and skills relevant to the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE).<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Core and specialised legal knowledge is complimented by a choice of criminology content, thus providing a holistic approach to crime and criminal justice.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Employability enhancing opportunities and mentor schemes bridge the gap between theory and practice, and develop transferable and specialised skills.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• The degree is suited to those seeking employment within the legal profession and in related areas, such as the police.<br/><br/>
