<strong>Study a mental health nursing degree for a rewarding career supporting the recovery of individuals with mental health issues.</strong><br/><br/>Mental health nurses play an important role in the health and well-being of people with mental health problems and their families and carers. Our degree in mental health nursing prepares you for the role and responsibilities as a registered mental health nurse. Youll be working in the NHS serving southeast London and Kent.<br/><br/>We provide you with the skills to meet the diverse needs of people with mental health problems, including those with complex needs. You will learn accountability for the role you will play in their lives.<br/><br/>We prepare you to apply for registration as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Our course will help you achieve the outcomes identified in the NMC Standards Framework for Pre-registration Nursing Programmes (2019).<br/><br/>All nursing students on courses from September 2020 will benefit from guaranteed, additional support of at least £5,000 a year, which they will not need to pay back. See more information: https://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/nhs-learning-support-fund-lsf<br/><br/><strong>What you should know about this course</strong><br/>• Apply to be taught at either in the heart of Kent at our Medway Campus or our Avery Hill Campus in Eltham, south-east London.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Nursing and Midwifery - joint 2nd in London for student satisfaction (Complete University Guide League Tables 2025).<br/><br/><br/><br/>• General Nursing - 2nd in London for satisfied with teaching (Guardian League Tables 2025).<br/><br/><br/><br/>• You will be able to practice and develop your skills and knowledge in our simulation suite.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• You will be placed in one a NHS trust for the three-year course, although you will have the opportunity to change your placement area for part of Year 3.<br/><br/>
