This exciting new programme has been developed to meet the growing demand for highly skilled engineers who can design, build and manage intelligent systems. With around six million robotics engineers currently employed worldwide and an estimated annual increase of 400,000, the career opportunities in this field are expanding rapidly.
Students on this course will gain a strong foundation in core engineering disciplines, including electrical and electronic systems, control engineering, and mechatronics. The curriculum is designed to build both theoretical understanding and practical expertise, with modules such as Human and Machine Robotics, Analogue and Digital Electronics, Power Electronics and Control, and Advanced Robotics. A major highlight of the programme is our state-of-the-art robotics laboratory, featuring industry-standard robotic arms, and a purpose-built industrial automation suite equipped with Siemens TIA Portal 16 and S7-1215 PLCs. These facilities offer a hands-on learning experience that is unmatched by other institutions.
Throughout the course, students will study a range of modules including Engineering Principles, Technology Mathematics, Fundamentals of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering, and Introduction to Manufacturing Systems. As they progress, they will explore more advanced topics such as Control and Mechatronics, Industry 4.0 Technologies, and Hardware Systems Applications, culminating in a final year project that showcases their skills and readiness for professional practice.
