What you will study\
On our astronautics and space engineering course, you’ll apply your knowledge through projects on which you'll work closely with academics from [Surrey Space Centre](https://www.surrey.ac.uk/surrey-space-centre). This means you'll gain practical, hands-on experience of the technologies which are so crucial for successful space missions.
You can apply to study for either a BEng or MEng astronautics and space engineering degree. The MEng builds on the BEng with a masters year and is a direct route to a masters qualification, known as an [integrated masters](https://www.surrey.ac.uk/undergraduate-study/integrated-masters). Depending on your progress, you may have the option to switch to a BEng or MEng during your studies.

Overall: Pass overall with ABB from a combination of the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales and two A-levels. Required subjects: A-levels in Mathematics and another STEM subject. A-level General Studies and A-level Critical Thinking are not accepted. Applicants taking the Science Practical Endorsement are expected to pass. GCSE or equivalent: English at grade 4 (C).
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)
Overall: DDD BTEC Extended Diploma, and A Level Mathematics grade B. Required Subjects: BTEC Extended Diploma in Applied Science or Engineering. Also A Level Mathematics grade B. Applicants taking other relevant BTEC's may be considered.
